I get so many questions from students about odd scholarships, or scholarships that aren’t academic based where you have to earn a 4.0 GPA just to be eligible. There are a multitude of scholarships available just like these. That is what this post is dedicated to. Offering you with some scholarships that you may not otherwise have considered, or known were even out there.
These kind of scholarships are usually specifically geared to experience, an industry and not necessarily academic based. In other words, you might not need a high GPA to be eligible and win the scholarship! There are definitely those wacky and weird scholarships out there. I’ll get to those soon. 🙂
But for those specific scholarships that might target industries or career interests/experience that you have gained, here’s a nice list.

Be sure to read instructions thoroughly in each scholarship so you understand the eligibility requirements for the scholarship. No sense in spending time with an application if you’re not going to win anyway.
Here’s the deal…at this point, if you’re planning to attend college in the Fall ’10, then you may have already figured out (or your parents have). If not, there is still time.
