MATCHING YOUR CAREER WITH THE CLASS YOU LOVE

Below is a great list of subjects in school that you are now in. Most likely a Core 40 type curriculum where you have to fulfill certain classes in order to graduate.

You know those right?

Those classes that you either dread, or love. You can take it or leave it. You may have no interest in ever doing anything Math the rest of your life.

What’s the point?

If you’re going into Cosmetology or fashion or teaching History, why would I need Math?

I get ya. I understand that these subjects may not matter to many of you, but those of you that find yourself really enjoying some of these subjects, or for some reason your just really good at History stuff, to Math problems.

One of the things I really push with all of you is to find your talents. Seek out what you are good at and figure out why.

Now, some of you are really good in Business classes. Maybe you test well and get your homework done a lot quicker and with less stress in History…but you don’t know why? Well there is something in that, that you are good with. You have to find that yourself, or communicate this with your instructor.

But, bottom line, I found a list of school subjects from www.bls.gov and wanted to give you all with a list of jobs and careers that tie right into these school subjects. This might be your path to figuring out several talents and skills that you have.

Check this out, and respond to this and let me know any kinds of questions you have.

You have so much to offer in life and this world, that I hope you can find as many talents and skills possible to make the right career choices.

Keep in mind that this is a short list. Just some ideas of careers that are available based upon specific courses taken in school. There are a lot of jobs out there in the world that need certain skills a talents, and if you have an interest and are good (even just at a couple of things), that is enough for you to realize the opportunities you deserve.

Life is tough, and you will have to work about 45-50 years before retirement. Most of us. Wouldn’t you want to enjoy what you do for a living?
