CAREER CHOICES “OUTSIDE THE BOX”

 thinking outside

UGGGH, DON’T MAKE ME WORK

…For many people, this is hard.  Thinking outside the ordinary. Its so easy for us to be content with our everydayness of life.

Sometimes, we want change and change is always good. But a lot of times its the same old, same old right?

Students, you know what I’m taking about, with the same classes, the same bell ringing all day long, the same (questionable) cafeteria food served, the same students in your class…it goes on and on.

Its easy for us to stay with what we have, or are given.

For many having the ability to be and stay creative in everything we do in life, is a gift. A talent that many have, and many strive to obtain. Now let’s focus your known talents and skills up with other ways to choosing CAREERS. Career choice requires you to think outside the box.

Its easy to stay within the walls of thought that you’ve built over these past years, isn’t it? Of course. Most of you might be struggling with what you are good at, or what kind of jobs are out there that are hiring; even making sure you have the skills necessary to do good in your future jobs. It seems intimidatign when you are not for sure.

Its easy to think about why NOT to do something.

But they’re just excuses, but mostly a time wasteraffectign your ability to do what should be inevitable.

IF YOU HAD $10 MILLION?

…what would you do with it? Anything. Everything. Whatever you want that you can spend within the $10 million, what would it be? Brainstorm. Think about anything and everything because that allows you to think outside the ordinary.

NOW USING THIS THOUGHT PROCESS TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT CAREER

…is really now putting it into perspective with regard CAREER choices. It will make it easier for you to think about anything you would want to do, or you think you are good at.

It might sound a bit obtrusive in that you have to dive into some areas of personal encounter to think outside the box and truly “find yourself.”

ONE EASY WAY TO START

…is by simply voiding (getting rid of and clearing) everything from your mind for about 30-45 minutes. Close the door to your room. Sit in your car, in a parking lot away from everyone else and any distractions.  Take it all out.

MEDITATION ANYONE?

…not necessarily but it takes some practice, so try it out and practice first.  It’s almost a meditation type feeling. If you don’t want to get all into that, that’s fine.  Just keep your mind fresh and clear because this is where you should dedicate some specific time for you to make some of the most important decisions of your life.

HERE’S WHY:

The next set of entries will focus on showing and illustrating to you how to choose CAREERS that you will greatly benefit from, financially, professionally and personally. These choices will lead you to a much More fulfilling life. It will also give you more opportunities to be as successful as you want to be. What’s even more cool is that by following the steps I show you over these next few entries, you will be able to make more choices in jobs, once you have found your CAREER.

Before reading on, go through the following questions and ask yourself, then answer yourself. Get yourself prepared, mentally and emotionally.

This is probably the biggest decision you have had to make ever! Its a tough one, but the more prepared you are, the better decision you will make. You will look back and be proud of yourself for how you did it.

Go through these quick questions and write the answers down.

1. What is my dream job? (be realistic). It doesn’t matter how long it will take to get there, what is it?

2. What are 3 qualities that you have? You are all good at something. It’s up to you to figure out what that is.

3.  If you won $10 million, what job would you still do? (you have to think of something)

Taking notes is so important and will benefit you, trust me. I’ve learned the hard way that when I don’t write something I think is pretty important. Whenever I didn’t, I needed it. It sucked, but whatever.

The next set of entries I’m posting will be a reflection of my true beliefs in how you guys can make the right choices of CAREERS. The kinds that fit your personality, likes and skills.  I’m going to show you how this will happen. The way I’ll show you is telling you what I’ve been through and how I had to go through a few jobs and CAREER choices before finding what really fit me. Because of that, I am more successful in my CAREER than I ever thought I would, as well as knowing that there is HOPE for me to be even more successful, professionally and financially.

1. Think about what you like in life

2. Think about what you are good at

3. Think about the kind of person you are
